An embedded system is a “special-purpose computer system designed to perform one or more dedicated functions”. Embedded systems have become very important today because they control many of the common devices we use. An important activity in the embedded engineer’s role is firmware design, which involves writing the embedded system-specific software programs, typically; in C/C++/Assembly language, to build the required functionality in the design.
This course helps to bridge the gap between industry and academics. As an engineering college education is mostly theory oriented, students don’t get exposed to real time industrial projects. This helps them to understand how industry works in the real world scenario. The course participant gets hands on experience on various hardware/software tools which would help them to execute their work in a smooth and professional manner.
Embedded engineers use their technology skills to bring to life “Embedded Systems” that improve quality of life for millions of people all over the world. The job role of embedded design engineers resolves around engineering activities like circuit design (i.e., design of electronic circuits that when implemented will achieve the desired functionality in the product) and board design.
During the course period, the students can do live project which will help them to increase the knowledge and experience in the embedded field.
The students who have completed B.Tech (Electronics and Communication, Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, Electrical and Electronics), B.sc/M.sc (Electronics), Diploma in Electronics can join for this course. Course duration will be six months and after the course, interested students can do a six month internship in the company. On successful completion of the internship, company will give experience certificate.
